Not-So-Silent Feminist Film Fest (media page)

The-Not-So-Silent Feminist Film Fest is a screening series of classic and contemporary silent films directed by women. These films are accompanied by Spontaneous Soundtrack, an ad-hoc group of improvising Island musicians who bring their diverse musical vocabularies and shared feminist practices to the table. The series also includes panel discussions with musicians, music and film industry workers, exploring the world of music and film through an intersectional feminist lens. 

In March 2024, this series launched in collaboration with Radiant Rural Halls at the Souris Show Hall. Carlie Howell curated a series of films by :
