FACILITATION

THE LULLABY PROJECT

Through Massey Hall’s Education and Outreach programming, I have the pleasure of mentoring young Moms in composing songs for their babies, and working with other musicians to produce professional recordings of them all. Check out the playlist below of Lullabies my Moms and I have written!

THE INTERSECTIONS PROJECT

The Intersections Project received Ontario Arts Council funding to work with Newcomer Women who were learning English as an additional language. The women learned traditional Brazilian drumming, photography, and together with me they composed a group song about their experiences arriving in Canada. I then co-produced a recording of their song, including conducting the women and some of their children singing, together with community and professional musicians.

THE MUSIC CHAMPION PROgRAM

For 3 years, I was the National Program Leader for the Music Champion Program. In addition to overseeing the program in Hamilton, Windsor, Winnipeg and Vancouver, I facilitated programming in Toronto, as well as had the pleasure of curating the year end celebration in the renowned Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Here is a reel of videos from our final celebration in 2016, which I co-hosted with Elder Bob Phillips, PhD.
