BEVERLY GLENN COPELAND

What a privilege to go into the studio with Glenn to document these gorgeous songs, which comprise some of his oldest and newest compositions.
Tanya Davis
Spousal bias aside, I can confidently say this track is a jam! We had so much fun building this track in the studio with engineer Danny Ledwell, who indulged me in playing both electric and upright bass on this. And check out the beautiful video made by our talented friend Millefiore Clarkes.

SCarlett Flynn

As a fan, I was really excited when Scarlett asked me to lay down some layers of upright bass for this very real song, written and recorded during pandemic times. It was very rewarding to experiment as I recorded them from my home studio, and see what layers Scarlett used in the final track and how.
Understory
This was a beautiful digital collaboration with improvisors I had never met before. I was excited to both play bass and edit the final videos for our trio.

Andrea Superstein – Every Little Step

This was a fun project to work on with a few folks I’d never met in real life, and some old friends! I was so pleased this led to playing on Andrea’s 2024 full-length album Oh Mother.
Luciano Porto – Confluens

Recording on this album, and subsequently making a live performance recording was such a fulfilling experience, both to play great music and to reconnect with my longstanding Brazilian community.
Emilea May – Good Mother Live
This beautiful song is a truthbomb if ever there was one – written with tenderness and joy! It was my sincere pleasure to participate in this lovely live video.
Catherine McClellan – Coyote Live

Cat is a dear east-coast friend, and this is a beautiful album that I got to play live for this special video release.
andrea superstein

I loved this chance to combine my jazz roots and modern sensibilities on this inventive, adventurous album about the trials, tribulations and triumphs of parenthood.

João is an awesome songwriter, instrumentalist and friend. It was such a great challenge to create basslines for these Brazilian fusion tunes by João and his co-writer Alex Tea. Watch for the full album coming in 2024.
Andrea Dorfmann
It was a honour to work on the soundtrack for this incredibly powerful animation created by the very talented and incredibly compassionate Andrea Dorfmann, for The Elizabeth Fry Society.
Michael C. Duguay
Michael (who is a friend of my friend Michael) came to Epekwikt during Lupin season, to collaborate with with site-specific audio specialist Ariel Sharrat (a friend of mine here on the island!) It was a pleasure to lay down the beds in an old theatre in Souris (a town by the same name of my birthplace) and hear all the layers that transpired in other enigmatic locations.

Brain Canada – The Story of Bea

This was a really sweet opportunity to do my first voice over, and create the soundtrack for a commercial – I was so chuffed to be invited to collaborate with dream-team Tanya Davis and Andrea Dorfmann!
Kenny Kirkwood – A Oneness Without Sides
What a gift to play bass and sing backup vocals on this beautiful and inspiring track by one of my oldest mentors and dear friend.

Sounds of Davenport

This was an amazing effort by my friend and musical colleague Aline Homzy to bring together musicians from Davenport Riding in Toronto and show our political leaders all the talent they represent!
